From François Pointeau: I met up with Jennifer duBois at the Central Library in Austin, Texas last week. We had a wonderful conversation. Mostly, we talked about her novel The Spectators (Penguin Random House 2019), though we also talk briefly about her other two books, A Partial History of Lost Causes and Cartwheel. An alumna of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and Stanford University’s Stegner Fellowship program, duBois is the recipient of a Whiting Award and a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing grant. She teaches in the MFA program at Texas State University.
It was fun meeting Jennifer, and I can’t wait to read her next book so that I can talk with her again.
