The Texas Institute of Letters contests are now open for works published in 2020. Writers are encouraged to submit to the twelve different categories. More than $23,000 in prizes will be awarded. The deadline for submissions is January 4, 2021.

Eligibility for the awards requires that the author be born in Texas or has lived in Texas for at least five consecutive years at some time. A work with subject matter that substantially concerns Texas is also eligible.
